We are looking forward to welcome you to the training course "Listen to what you are listening!" in the context of the European Erasmus + Programme, supported by the European Commission. This training course will be held in Strasbourg, from the 17^th July to 27^th July, and will bring together youth workers, facilitators, coordinators of projects, young people with fewer opportunities, active volunteers… from 13 countries: France, Spain, United Kingdom, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Tunisia, Morocco and Palestine.

The purpose of the training course is to provide skills, knowledge and tools for the youth workers, enabling them to sensitize young people and act against the negative representation of women in the music they listen to, the clips they watch and the comments they post (reflection of the negative image that some young people may have on women). Indeed, these songs can have an impact on the vision of gender equality that young people have, their image and relationship towards women, and can also have a strong negative impact on young girls, their independence and personal empowerment.

Nous allons vous accueillir pour la formation « Listen to what you are listening ! » organisée dans le cadre du Programme Européen Erasmus+ soutenu par la Commission Européenne. Cette formation aura lieu à Strasbourg, du 17 au 27 juillet 2016, et réunira pendant 10 jours, des travailleurs de jeunesse, facilitateurs, coordinateurs de projets, jeunes ayant moins d’opportunités, volontaires actifs dans leurs associations … issus de 13 pays : France, Espagne, Royaume-Uni, Turquie, Hongrie, Roumanie, Suède, Ukraine, Serbie, Moldavie, Tunisie, Maroc et Palestine.

L’objet de la formation est de doter les travailleurs de jeunesse de compétences, connaissances et outils leur permettant de sensibiliser les jeunes et d’agir contre la représentation négative des femmes dans les musiques qu’ils écoutent, dans les clips qu’ils regardent et dans les commentaires qu’ils postent (reflet de l’image négative que certains jeunes peuvent avoir sur les femmes). En effet, ces chansons peuvent avoir une incidence sur la vision par les jeunes de l’égalité homme/femme, leur image et relation vis-à-vis de la femme, et peut également avoir un fort impact négatif sur les jeunes filles, leur indépendance et autonomisation personnelle.
